School closed

The day you reorganised the universe around a call that had already ended.

← all stories

It's a Tuesday morning. The school called yesterday, no, wait, was it two days ago? To say the heating was broken and the kids were staying home. You said "no problem" and meant it, because in that moment you could see the whole reshaped day clearly. You'd move the call, rearrange lunch, be fine.

Then the call ended, and the picture disappeared.

Not forgotten, exactly. Just… not there any more. No nagging sense that something had moved, no background alert. You opened your laptop and the original day played out in your head as if nothing had changed.

see it all keeps the whole week visible, not buried in a calendar you have to open, but on the screen, quietly showing you what's actually there. So when something shifts, you see the gap. The picture doesn't disappear just because the conversation ended.
